Creating a report queue
- Select Report Scheduler > Setup > Queue.
- Click Create.
-
Specify this information:
- Queue
- Specify the name of the queue. Observe the your company's naming conventions.
- Description
- Specify a description for the queue.
- Status
- Indicate if the queue is active or inactive. Report Scheduler controls active queues. Inactive queues are placed on hold and are not scheduled.
- Begin Active Time and End Active Time
- Specify the time at which the queue activates and inactivates on any day. For continual activity, specify 12:00 AM as the begin time and 11:59 PM as the end time. Use the time in the client's time zone. If the client time zone differs from the database time zone, a time conversion is performed.
- Priority
- Specify the schedule priority for this queue. Lower numbers represent a higher priority.
- Max Concurrent Jobs
-
Specify the maximum number of jobs that can be run from this queue simultaneously.
The Maximum Number of Simultaneous Jobs settings in SA Administrator Options-System-Report Scheduler take precedence over this value. Set by Infor, the maximum number of simultaneous jobs that can be run is 5 jobs per hour. This ensures that a single tenant cannot run a large number of reports at one time and potentially cause performance issues for other tenants within the database. Any more than 5 jobs are backlogged.
- Log Ranges/Options
- Select this option to include the ranges and options for each report in the report log.
- Log Directory
-
Specify the directory to store the report log files for the queue. If you leave this field blank, the system does not create report log files for this queue.
- Click Save.
