Pricing records

Pricing records automate the process of tracking special prices and discounts that are assigned to various customers, products, vendors, and rebates.

For example, you can define pricing records to give your customer a discount for purchasing a specific quantity of product. You can also indicate a special pricing structure for customers that buy within a particular product category.

You can set up each pricing record for an indefinite period of time. Optionally, you can set an ending date to limit the length of time the prices and discounts are valid. In Sales Order Entry, use the copy function to convert a Quote (QU) to a customer’s type 1 pricing record.

You can define the pricing and discounting structures for specific customers, vendors, rebates, and products, including nonstock products, in PD Pricing Setup. Before you set up pricing records, you must set up other records.
