Customer hierarchy for rebate processing
If Customer Hierarchy for Rebate Processing is selected in SA Administrator Options-Products-Rebates, a customer hierarchy is used to calculate rebates for customers. The rebate records are prioritized based on the customer and customer rebate type. The system moves down the hierarchy until a qualifying record is found. If multiple records are located, the one with the most recent start date is used.
If multiple level customer rebate types exist, the system rebate is calculated and compared to the customer rebate type levels in Customer Rebate Type Setup. The levels that are used also depend upon the settings in SA Administrator Options-Products-Multiple Level. The highest rebate is then applied to the sales order line.
