Setting up multiple price types for a customer

Use these instructions to assign price types to customers and ship tos in Customer Price Type Setup. You can assign one price type on customer and ship to records, and then assign additional price types in Customer Price Type Setup. When the price type for a customer or ship to matches the price type on a Customer Type pricing record, the pricing record is used within the pricing hierarchies to determine the product price.

  1. Select Customer > Setup > Price Type.
  2. Click New.
  3. Specify the customer and optionally, a ship to.

    The price type, price level, and line discount values from the Customer Setup or Customer Ship To Setup record are displayed in corresponding read-only field.

  4. Specify the price type to assign to the customer or ship to.
  5. Optionally, select a value from 1-9 in the Price Level and Discount Level fields to determine which level on a pricing record is used. Leave 0 to exclude price or level or discount level pricing.
  6. Click Save.
