Pricing hierarchy

The values in the table correspond to the fields in PD Pricing Setup with these exceptions that pertain to the Level column:

• A Level 2 Customer/Rebate Sub Type pricing record is a Customer/Product Rebate pricing record that includes a Rebate Sub Type value.
• A Level 2 Customer/Rebate Type pricing record is a Customer/Product Rebate pricing record that does not include a Rebate Sub Type value
• A Level 4 Customer Type/Rebate Sub Type pricing record is a Customer Type/Rebate Type pricing record that includes a Rebate Sub Type value.
• A Level 4 Customer Type/Rebate Sub Type pricing record is a Customer Type/Rebate Type pricing record that does not include a Rebate Sub Type value.

The order of this hierarchy is altered if you select these options in SA Administrator Options-Products-Pricing:

• Use Rebate Pricing Records Before Price Type:

  If this option is selected, the Level 4 rebate-based pricing records are checked before the Type 4 price type records.

• Level 2 Pricing Hierarchy Override Hierarchy

  If you change the Default Hierarchy order for Level 2 price types, an override flag is set that is checked when the pricing logic is applied in Distribution SX.e. To change the order of price types, click and hold your cursor on the vertical dots to the left of a price type and drag that type up or down in the list. When you click Save, the order in the Override Hierarchy list is the new order in which Level 2 pricing records are applied.

  Note: All four Level 2 price types are displayed in the Override Hierarchy list even if not all types are selected in SA Administrator Options-Products-Pricing. If a price type is not used, it is not included when the pricing logic is applied in Distribution SX.e.

If you change the hierarchy, the entire section of hierarchy “hits” for that level and type is moved. The order of the record in the section is not changed. For example, hits on customer and ship to pricing records occur before customer only. Hits on pricing records for a warehouse occur before division group, which occur before region.
