Multiple-merchant processing
Multiple-merchant processing is optional and enables you to segregate your credit card charges by merchant IDs. Typically, you use multiple merchant IDs if you have different bank accounts. For example, warehouse A has a merchant ID at bank A. Warehouse B has a merchant ID at bank B. Both warehouses use the same SA Credit Card Processor Setup record.
At the end of the day, when the credit card transactions are settled, the credit card processor separates the transactions based on the merchant ID and routes them to the associated banks. Then, warehouse A’s settlement report reflects what is deposited into bank A. Warehouse B’s settlement report reflects what is deposited into bank B.
To use multiple-merchant processing with CenPOS, complete your standard integration. Then complete these setups:
- Define the merchant IDs to be used by your warehouses in SA Table Code Value Setup-Merchant ID (Credit Card)
- Associate the warehouses with the merchant IDs in Product Warehouse Description Payment Types Setup.
You must work with your CenPOS representative, who provides you with Merchant User IDs and passwords and enables token sharing. Token sharing enables a token to be shared at the warehouse level.
CenPOS sets up each merchant ID to be tied to a specific merchant account, and the merchant account is tied to a bank account. This enables CenPOS to process associations where each merchant ID is tied to different bank accounts or shares a bank account.
