Converting a quote order to a regular stock order

If a customer asks for a quote on a specific order, you can enter a quote order (QU) in Sales Order Entry. If the customer later decides to place an order based on the quote, you can convert the quote, even if it is canceled, into a stock order (SO).

  1. Select Sales > Entry > Order.
  2. Click Copy.
  3. Specify the quote number in the Order # to Process field,.
  4. Select Stock Order in the Convert To field.
  5. Click Continue.
  6. Update information on the New Order Information page.
  7. Optionally, exclude lines from the stock order.
    1. Click Select Lines.
    2. Clear the Copy? option.
    3. Click Submit.
  8. Click Submit.

    The new order number is displayed.

    Note: If a product sales restriction applies to a sales order line, the line is not included on the new order and the remaining lines are renumbered. To include the restricted product on the order, you must add it to the order in maintain mode.
