Credit and rebill transaction processing
If Credit/Rebill is selected as the Return Reason applied at the order header in Sales Order Entry, you create a credit line on the order. The corresponding debit lines are created automatically.
After you specify the product, you must tie the line to a valid order number, including the suffix, and line number. Values that you specified in the header-level Correction window are displayed at the line level, but you can override them.
After you submit the information in the Correction window, the unreturned quantity and corrected pricing information from the original order line and any associated CR and processed RM orders lines is calculated. The Price and Quantity values are replaced on the CR line. You cannot change these values or Unit. The Pricing view is view only.
If these conditions are met, then the serial number information for all unreturned serial numbers is copied from the original order line to the CR order line. You cannot change the serial information.
- The original line is a serial product
- Include Serials is selected in SA Table Code Value Setup for the Return Adjust Reason specified on the order
- Serial tracking is enabled in SA Administrator Options
If these conditions are met, then the rebate information is copied to the CR line. You cannot change the rebate information.
- The original order line has a rebate
- Include Rebates is selected in SA Table Code Value Setup for the Return Adjust Reason specified on the order
- Serial tracking is enabled in SA Administrator Options
After you add the credit line to the order, the rebill line, which is a debit, is automatically created. The rebill line is based on the credit line. The product, quantity, or unit values are copied from the credit line and you cannot change them.
The Price field, which shows the system price as the default value, is the only value you can change on the rebill line. The Pricing view is available for your use.
If applicable, rebill order line processing includes rebate calculation. Rebates are calculated based on the price using the standard rebate logic. You can also create a manual rebate on a rebill order line. If you change the price on a rebill order line, the manual rebate amount is recalculated.
Vendor rebates that apply to rebill lines are calculated at entry. The Recalc Rebate Through setting in SA Administrator Options-Documents-Sales Order-Processing does not apply to rebill lines.
