Freight rate shopping

Use Sales Order Entry-Freight Rate Shop to find the most cost effective way to ship goods during order entry or during shipping feedback. The Freight Rate Shop functionality provides your customer service representatives with the freight charges for different carriers based upon the weight of what is being shipped. The purpose is to find the most cost-effective way to ship the goods specified on your customer's order.

Freight rate shopping in Distribution SX.e is supported using one of these two methods for obtaining rates:

• Integration to Infor Rate Shopping - TM, or
• Rate tables set up and maintained manually in Distribution SX.e.

Freight rate shopping is optional. You should modify your workflow so your procedural tasks reflect how you plan to use this functionality.
