Activating a gift card after it is sold

Use these instructions to activate a gift card your customer previously purchased on a Stock Order. The option, Allow Activation of Gift Card, must be selected in SA Operator Setup-Entry Options for you to be allowed to activate a gift card.

Note: Gift card processing is supported with the CenPOS credit card integration only.
  1. Select Sales > Entry > Order.
  2. Click Maintain.
  3. Specify the Order # on which the gift card was sold.
  4. If the message Order cannot be maintained after shipping is displayed, disregard.
  5. From the More (...) menu, select CenPOS Gift Activate.
  6. On the OE Gift Cards window, select the gift card to be activated and click CENPOS GIFT ACTIVATE.
    Gift cards ready to be activated are noted with a Status Type of Issued.
  7. On the CenPOS Gift Activate window, specify the full Card Number and Name on the card.
  8. Click Submit.
  9. A receipt is displayed showing the card activation details. Click Print to print a copy for the customer, if desired.
  10. Click Done.
