Moving lines on a sales order

Moving lines on a sales order renumbers the lines. Moving lines is different than sorting them, which is typically done to temporarily view them in a specific order.

  1. Select Sales > Entry > Order.
  2. Create or maintain a sales order.
  3. In line entry mode, click Edit Lines.
  4. To view lost business lines, click Show Inactive.
  5. To move one line:
    1. Select the line to move.
    2. Select one of these options from the Move menu:
      • To Top
      • Up One
      • Down One
      • To Bottom
      • After

        If you select After, specify the line number and then click OK.

  6. To move multiple lines:
    1. Select Move > Multi-Line.
    2. Select the lines to move.
    3. Select an option from the Move menu.
  7. Click Save to save the order of the lines.
  8. Finish the order.
