Nonstock kits

A nonstock kit consists of two or more products that are combined into an individual product. When you enter a sales order with the nonstock kit, you can add stock or nonstock components to the kit. If components must be ordered, you can tie them to new or existing source documents in Sales Order Entry, or manually tie the source document to the sales order in Purchase Order Entry or Transfer Entry. If you do not source the components, they are included on a Recommended Replenishment Action Report. The nonstock kit is not included on the report because it does not exist until the items are assembled. Inventory quantities are updated for the components that have inventory records.
