Code 128 symbology

This barcode symbology offers many advanced features, including decode check logic that improves the overall reliability of the data. It also supports three different character sets, determined by the start character.

Start character A includes the standard 10 digits and 26 uppercase alpha characters, and special characters from the ASCII table. Start character B, the least-used version, provides the numbers, uppercase and lowercase characters and some special characters. Character set C encodes digits in matched pairs from 00 to 99.

The benefits of Code 128 are its high data integrity and ability to store more data in a smaller space.
