Final Update or Final Update Report
To update the General Ledger after you entered transactions in GL Transaction Entry, select or . If you select , only GL Transaction Entry is updated. This option streamlines data entry because you do not have to provide printer information each time you finish entering a group of transactions. You can later run the GL Group Update Report by selecting No for the Update? option on the GL Entry Batch Update Report.
The Yes is selected in the Allow GL Entry Transactions Final Update field in SA Operator Setup. The printer information window is displayed. You can change the posting date or period, and choose to print all records, update, and delete transactions after updating (applies to one-time groups only).
option is available only ifYou can delay updating. Close the session without performing the final update. Run GL Entry Batch Update Report when you are ready to post the transactions to the General Ledger.
