Viewing payment order/remittance advice in ETCC
- Select Electronic Data Interchange > Entry > Electronic Transaction Control Center.
-
Specify this information in the Search panel:
- Process Type
- Select ION-BOD.
- Transaction Type
- Select EDI 820i Remittance Advice/Lockbox.
- Transaction Status
-
Select Processed to view transactions that are partially processed but need some corrections to the data before processing can complete. Depending on your ETCC business rules, transactions that were fully processed may also be displayed.
Select Error to find transactions that contain fatal errors that you cannot correct. After you review the documents, you can delete them. The bank must correct the errors and then resend the transaction. You can delete the documents with fatal errors but it is not required. When the document is resent, it is processed under a different Document ID.
- Update Status
-
Select one of these values to view the related transactions:
- All: Displays transactions with any status code, including canceled or completed.
- All Open: Displays transactions with open status codes, excluding canceled or completed. Select this value to display all transactions that require attention.
- Error: Displays transactions with header- and line-level errors.
- Exceptions: Displays transactions with header- and line-level exceptions.
- No Err/No Exc: Displays transactions have not been completed, have no errors or exceptions, have not been canceled, and are not in WIP. Typically, this type of transaction is available in ETCC only if the business rule "Review Required" is set at some the global, company, or vendor level. Select this value to quickly review and approve or cancel transactions.
- WIP: Displays transactions that are ready to process, or are in a processing stage.
- Canceled: Displays transactions that were rejected and were not processed.
- Complete: Displays transactions that were updated.
- Specify a date range, and then click Search.
-
From the Action menu, you can perform these actions on selected
transactions in the grid:
-
View Errors/Messages
Select a document with a Status of Error, and then select Actions > View Errors/Messages to open view information about the error, including the raw data from the transaction header.
-
Approve Transaction
Select a document with exceptions only, and then select Actions > Approve Transaction to approve exceptions and the transaction. We recommend that you first review the exceptions on the Error Detail or Transaction Detail pages before you approve them.
If you approve exceptions on a transaction that has exceptions and restricted product errors, the document is approved. You are not required to address the restricted product errors.
When you select Approve Transaction, the document may not be approved for processing. Other errors might require correction.
-
Set Transaction Complete
Select a document, and then select Actions > Set Transaction Complete to indicate that the transaction is complete. You can only select this option if the Update Status is blank.
Note: After the Update Status is Complete, you cannot reprocess the transaction in ETCC and must manually perform any updates. -
Cancel Transaction
Select a document, and then select Actions > Cancel Transaction to cancel the entire transaction including the header and all lines. Typically, you cancel a transaction with fatal errors, or if the bank is resending the transaction. You cannot cancel transactions with an Update Status of Complete.
-
Update Transactions
Select documents with a blank Update Status, and then select Actions > Update Transactions to reprocess the transaction. After you perform the update, Complete is displayed in the Update Status column.
Documents with a blank Update Status did not contain errors or exceptions, or the errors and exceptions were corrected. Documents without errors are routed to ETCC for review if the Rule Value for the ETCC-ReviewReqd business rule is yes.
You can also update documents with an Update Status of Exception, but we recommend that you review any exceptions before updating the documents.
