Report output to Excel enhanced

To enable you to modify and manipulate report data for improved data analysis, the output for these reports can now be converted to Excel:

  • Customer Trial Balance Report
  • GL Balance Matching Activity Report
  • GL Balance Order Entry Report
  • GL Balance Purchase Order Report
  • GL Balance Transfers Report
  • PD Rebates Due Trial Balance Report
  • Product Direct Order Inventory Trial Balance Report
  • Product Nonstock Inventory Trial Balance Report
  • VA Work In Process Trial Balance Report
  • Vendor Trial Balance Report

The reports have been updated for coding standards and optimal performance.

To generate an Excel file, you must perform these actions in the Printing Information section on the Information page of the report:

  • Select the Print Options Page check box
  • From the Print Output Type list, select Excel.

When you generate a report, a text file is sent to the Amazon Web Service (AWS) S3 storage area for your tenant where it is converted into an Excel file. The Excel file is then sent to the print type that was selected on the report, such as email or view. When errors occur, the log files are sent to the selected print type.

Feature activation

Set up these business rules in SA Business Rule Setup:

  • S3Prefix-XLSX

    Specify excel as the rule value.

  • S3Bucket-XLSX

    Specify the Amazon Web Service (AWS) S3 storage area for your tenant. For tenants that are located in North America, specify infor-<environment>-sxe-us-east-1, substituting <environment> with the abbreviation for your environment. For example, specify infor-prd-sxe-us-east-1 for your production environment.

Then modify your stored reports to generate Excel files, as required.
