Support for Canada Post integration

You can now validate addresses in Distribution SX.e using the Canada Post third-party application. This new integration can be used to ensure proper addresses are used on sales orders and communication to customers by validating addresses in Distribution SX.e functions where ever addresses are entered. When this integration is enabled, the Address Validation window is displayed when you enter or maintain an entity's address in Distribution SX.e that does not match an address in the Canada Post application. You can use the suggested address or continue with the address you entered.

This integration utilizes a new SX.API call, sxapiAddressValidation. The Canada Post address validation works similarly to the address validation offered with the AvaTax and Vertex Cloud tax applications. Canada Post address validation is not limited to Canadian addresses. Addresses in 245 countries, including the United States, Mexico, and United Kingdom, can be verified.

Feature activation

You must purchase and install Canada Post.

To enable the integration between Distribution SX.e and Canada Post, select the Enable Canada Post Address Validation option in SA Administrator Options-Integrations-Canada Post Options. You must also specify the web services URL and an authorization API Key provided by Canada Post.

This integration can be enabled only when the AvaTax or Vertex taxing integrations are not used.
