Receiving and entry defaults for serial and lot products
When Storeroom is first implemented, these defaults are specified in SA Administrator Options for serial- and lot-controlled products:
- Control number assignment during receiving
- Serial numbers can be assigned during receiving, or during issue or transfer.
- Lot numbers must be assigned during receiving. The products can be received into new or existing lots, including closed lots.
- Control number selection during issue or transfer
- Control numbers can be specified manually or selected in a lookup.
- Control numbers that are the oldest are automatically selected and displayed. The oldest serial numbers are selected by receipt date. The oldest lot numbers are selected by the open date.
The default values seldom require change after they are first established, but you can change them.
