Implementing Production Scheduling

Use these steps to implement the Production Scheduling module.

Note: The integration to Production Scheduling relies upon the ProductionOrder BOD. As with other BODs, messages are processed through the ION inbox/outbox, or IOBOX. If updates that are made to VA work orders are not reflected in Production Scheduling as expected, use ION OneView to identify whether there is a problem with the BOD.
  1. In ION Desk, configure the document flow for the ProductionOrder BOD.
    See the information in the Infor CloudSuite Distribution Configuration Guide for configuring a document flow for the ProductionOrder BOD.
  2. In Distribution SX.e, select System Administrator > Administration > ION Noun.
  3. Click New.
  4. In the ION Noun field, specify ProductionOrder.
  5. Select Publish Outbound Sync BOD.
  6. Click Save.
  7. Select System Administrator > Setup > Operator.
  8. Specify the user who will use the Production Scheduling module to monitor work order production schedules.
  9. On the Function Security tab, specify ps* in the Name field and click Search.
  10. Set the proper security level for this function for the selected user and click Save.
  11. Repeat steps 6-9 for all users who should have access to the Production Scheduling module.
  12. Direct the user(s) to sign out and sign back in to Distribution SX.e before accessing the module from the menu.
