Defining VA assembly product segment rules

Segment assembly configuration applies to Configurable assembly-type items only.

  1. Select Value Add > Setup > Product Default.
  2. Select the assembly product.
  3. Access the Assembly view.
  4. Click Rule for an assembly segment.
  5. Specify the Rule Sequence #.
  6. Specify the rule definition:
    • In the If Segment field, select the segment which the rule must check.
    • In the drop-box, select the relationship between the segment and rule value.
    • Specify the value for the rule.
  7. If more than one criterion exists for this rule sequence, select And or Or to specify the relationship between the two criteria and then, repeat step 6 to specify the rule definition.
  8. In the Then this segment must equal one of the values field, specify the value that is valid when the conditions of the rule are met.
  9. In the If the rule fails what message should be displayed to the operator? field, specify the error message for the rule.
  10. Click OK.
