Transfer Customer Inventory Value Report overview

Transfer > Reports > WT Reports > WTRC

Function acronym: WTRC

Use this report to determine the current value of inventory in customer warehouses.

A customer warehouse is a warehouse that is assigned to a customer or ship to in Product Warehouse Description Setup. Products in a customer warehouse have already been purchased by the customer. You cannot maintain prices and costs for the products, but you can maintain the replacement or standard cost. Additionally, the last cost value is updated whenever products are replenished, charged, and transferred to the customer warehouse.

When you run the report, you can use the standard, replacement, or last cost to determine the inventory value. The cost is multiplied by the current On Hand quantity on Product Warehouse Product Setup records. You cannot report values for a particular date.

Note: This report does not use the Customer Balances in Product Warehouse Product Setup-Costs. Those balances are strictly used for customer-owned products within a Storeroom-managed warehouse. Labor products, build-on-demand kits, or tally products are also excluded.

The current value of inventory can be useful for insurance coverage of the customer’s inventory, and if you have implemented 3PL functionality.
