SA Table Code Value Setup overview

System Administrator > Setup > Table Code Value

Function acronym: SASTT

Use this function to define the values for table types. Table types are used in all modules. Each table type and their ID is predefined and cannot be modified.

During set up for other modules, you are directed to SA Table Code Value Setup to define values for a specific table type. Much of the validation of records is based on the values you set up here. Lack of appropriate values may create error messages during your workflow.

When you select a table in the Search function, existing values are displayed in the grid. From the grid, you can delete a value or select a value for editing. Click New to access a form in which you can specify a new value. Some forms include an Extended section for additional information and access to the Multiple Language Setup function.

We recommend that you use function security in SA Operator Setup to limit operator access to this function. Use the Allow Access To Extended System Tables option in SA Operator Setup-Controls to control access to the extended tables.

Prerequisites

When you set up your Distribution SX.e system, you use several setup modules to populate the database with static information, which is information that changes infrequently. These setup modules are then used to maintain or delete that information as it does change. Because of the many inter-dependencies throughout the system, complete the initial setup procedures in this order:

  1. SA All Company Info Setup
  2. SA Company Setup
  3. SA Operator Setup
  4. SA Table Code Value Setup
  5. SA Currency Setup
  6. GL Account Setup

Foreign language translation

If you change your on-screen messages and reports to a language other than English, you must set up the language code in SA Company Setup, SA Operator Setup, and SA Table Code Value Setup.
