Usage

From the More... menu, select Usage to view the historical product warehouse usage of this product for the past 25 months. Usage is defined as the rate of anticipated usage [sales and transfers out] for a stocked item in the period just ahead, expressed as "x" units per month. Usage rates form the basis for replenishment control calculations, which in turn generate the service and inventory turnover results.

If you know the historical usage for a product, set it up during the initial warehouse product setup. If you do not know the historical usage for the product, the system uses the recorded history and builds usage information each month when you process Product Administration Month End Processing Report.

Drill down on a line to access editable fields, such as Override Usg. Click Edit to modify these fields. Click Save to update the Product Warehouse Product Setup-Ordering record.

Click Update and Recalculate to update Product Warehouse Product Setup-Ordering and run the Product Administrator Month End Processing Report. This saves you the effort of running the month end process manually after changing usage amounts on this view: Override Usg, Days, #Times, Avg Inv.
