Product Administration Exception Center - Manual Product List overview

Product > Administration > Exception Center

Function acronym: ICAMU

The Product Administration Exception Center-Manual Product List can be used to create a list of products by using set criteria.

After your list of products is created, you can perform mass maintenance of critical data on each product record using the Mass Update function.

This function is very helpful when you have a large number of products you need to maintain. Rather than access each product record individually and make the required changes, the Manual Product List enables you to quickly build the list of qualifying product records that can be maintained in Mass Update. It is also useful for filtering product records by select criteria, such as vendor, product line, authorized replenishment path (ARP), or warehouse. For example, if you want to change the ARP for a particular product line, you can load all of the products in the product line into the Manual Product List, and then use Mass Update to make the change to the ARP value in Product Warehouse Product Setup for all of the qualifying products.

Click Manual Product List in the Product Administration Exception Center to access the function. You must have security to access the Manual Product List. The Manual Product List Option in SA Operator Setup-Controls must be Allow Manual Product List Only or Allow Both Manual List and Excel.

To build a list, you must specify a beginning and ending warehouse. A product must match all criteria you specify to be included in the list. After you specify the criteria and click Create and Continue, a message is displayed indicating the number of products added to the list. Click OK to add those products to the list and update them as necessary.

You can also import a manual product list from a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet. This allows you to import a file to use for product selection rather than filling out the ranges and other selection criterion on the Manual Product List window to create a list of the exact products you want to mass update.
