Product Administration Exception Center - Import From Excel overview

Product > Administration > Exception Center

Function acronym: ICAMU

Use this page to import a list of products from an Excel spreadsheet into the Product Administration Exception Center function.

Imported products must already exist in Product Setup and Product Warehouse Product Setup. Products from multiple warehouses can be included in the spreadsheet.

Click Import From Excel in the Product Administration Exception Center to access the function. You must have the security required to perform the import. Select Allow Both Manual List and Excel from the Manual Product List Option in SA Operator Setup-Controls.

Format your spreadsheet to contain two columns only: a Warehouse column and a Product column. Both of these values are required for all lines. The first row of the spreadsheet must contain the column headings, spelled exactly as noted. When a blank row is encountered, no further records are processed. You can also define a maximum number of lines, or rows, in the spreadsheet that are to be retrieved when you perform the import.

The spreadsheet file must be a .xls or .xlsx file format.

Any errors that are encountered, such as an invalid warehouse or invalid product, are highlighted in your spreadsheet, and a new Column A is added showing the error messages. At this point, you can proceed with the import of only valid records, or you can close the Import From Excel page, correct your spreadsheet, and import again. If you make corrections to the spreadsheet, remove the error Column A before you save the spreadsheet. There is no editing capability on the Import From Excel page.

Your Excel file must not be protected (read-only) or you will not be able to make corrections and save the file.
