Product Extended Serial Formatting Setup field descriptions

Fields are presented in alphabetical order.

Beginning Position

Specify the beginning position of the data you want to remove from the serial number. Only numbers are allowed in this field. If any characters, other than 0-9 are specified, an error message is displayed.

Data

Specify the data to be removed from the serial number.

Record Type

Specify the type of record you want to create. Currently, Character Removal is the only option.

Vendor

Specify the vendor to which the record pertains. The value in this field is validated against Vendor Setup records. An error occurs if an invalid vendor is specified.
