  • Email Message: Select this option to have the person receiving notification to receive an email. If you choose this option, the email address from Sales Salesrep Setup is used if it is available. Otherwise, the email address from SA Operator Setup is used.
  • ION Alert/Workflow: Select this option to send data collected for the selected event to ION via the SXEvent BOD. When the SXEvent BOD is received by ION, an Alert or Workflow (task) is created based on the modeling/configuration for each Distribution SX.e event.
Email Message

If you select Email Message as the action type, specify the optional email text in this field . Default text for the email message is defined in the system code and generally includes all the information from the header, and possibly the line items, of the order. You can specify traditional text in this field, and keywords that automatically pull information from the order.

For example, to display The following order has been placed on hold – 1000450 in the body of the email message, specify this text in the email body area:

The following order has been placed on hold - <ordeno>.

This list includes the valid keywords that take information from the system and place it in the body of the email:

  • Qtyord
  • Qtyship

Email Subject

If you select Email Message as the action type, specify the text for subject of the email message.

Expire Date

Short-term or one-time event records can be removed from the system automatically if you include an expiration date on it. The system examines this field for each selected record, based on the range, list, and filter settings on the action definition. If the date in the field is less than the current date, the action definition is considered expired and is removed from the system.
