Setting up an operator record

An important function of the system administrator is to create and maintain operator records. Use these instructions to set up new operators in the system. These instructions do not include the steps to set up function security.

Note:  In CloudSuite Distribution, you can manually create Distribution SX.e operator records, but we recommend that you use automated provisioning to ensure that the values from Infor Ming.le user records are correct on the Distribution SX.e operator records.
  1. Select System Administrator > Setup > Operator.
  2. Click New.
  3. Specify the information in the New User window, and then click Save.
    Operators specify their operator initials in the User ID to sign in to Distribution SX.e. Unless you create a record for an operator who already has a record in another company, the operator initials must be unique. To create an operator record for an operator with an existing record, the operator initials and full name on the new record must match the values on the existing record.
  4. Select the record, and then click Edit.
  5. Review the Static Information. Update the values if required.
    To enable the operator to sign in as an alternate operator within the same company, specify a value in the Alternate Login field.
  6. Review the settings on the remaining views.
  7. Click Save.
