Manipulating the product price on a purchase order

When you are entering a purchase order in, you can use the Pricing Worksheet to manipulate the price of a product for this purchase order.

  1. Create or maintain a purchase order.
  2. Click Advanced Line Entry.
  3. Add one or more lines.
  4. Select a line from the line list.
  5. Click the Pricing tab.
  6. In the Pricing Worksheet, select a value from the Basis list.

    Do you want to manipulate the price based on the current price shown in the line's Price field? Or should the basis be the average cost, the last cost, the replacement cost, or the standard cost. The price displayed in the Amount field varies depending your selection. You can also choose to manually enter a starting value; select Enter a Value and specify that value.

  7. In the Operator field, select either: Add a Percentage, Subtract a Percentage, Multiply by a Value, or Divide by a Value.
  8. In Amount, specify the percentage or value.
  9. Click Apply to calculate the new value and apply it to the price on the line item.

    If you are not satisfied with the calculation and want to recalculate a new price, repeat the applicable steps. If you are not satisfied with the price and want to load the system price on the line, click System Pricing. If you are not satisfied with the price and want to restore the price to the original price on the line, click Restore Pricing.

  10. When you have completed your work on the Pricing Worksheet, click the Back arrow to return to the Advanced Line Entry page.
  11. If you have changed a line value, you must click Update to drop the line with the new value.
  12. Click Next to open Review & Totals, or click Finish to complete the order.
