Pricing records based on rebate sub types

If Rebate Sub Type in SA Administrator Options-Products-Pricing-Options is selected, you can specify a rebate sub type on these types of pricing records:

  • Type 2 Customer/Product Rebate
  • Type 4 Customer Type/Rebate Type

Rebate sub types are set up in the Rebates (Product Sub Type) table in SA Table Code Value Setup, and are assigned to products on these records:

  • Product Warehouse Product Setup
  • Product Catalog Setup

The rebate sub type on the warehouse product and product catalog records are used to determine the price of a product, based on Type 2 or Type 4 pricing records. In the system pricing hierarchy, Type 2 and Type 4 pricing records that include a rebate sub type are higher in the hierarchy than the Type 2 and Type 4 pricing records that only include rebate types.

If Rebate Sub Type in SA Administrator Options is not selected, the rebate sub type records are ignored during system pricing. Additionally, the UI elements for rebate sub types that are associated with pricing records, such as field and columns, are not displayed.

PD Mass Maintenance Entry

If you create a set for Customer/Product Rebate or Customer Type/Rebate Type price records, you can specify a rebate sub type as criteria.

When you import an Excel spreadsheet with new pricing records, rebate sub type errors occur under these circumstances:

  • A rebate sub type is invalid, based on SA Table Code Value Setup records
  • The rebate sub type feature is not activated in SA Administrator Options.

Customer Pricing Inquiry

If you select Customer/Product Rebate or Cust Price Type/Product Reb Type to filter the records on the Price Records tab, the grid includes a Rebate Sub Type column. If you open a record, the rebate sub type is displayed in the Record Information section.

SA Pricing Science Report

When you export, the rebate sub type is included in the productGroup class if the rebate sub type is included in this data:

  • invoice-line data: Only loads for rebate sub type when the order line item used a pricing record that was a rebate sub type record.
  • atWarehouse data: Only loads if the Product Warehouse Product Setup or Product Catalog Setup records are set up with both the rebate type and rebate sub type.

When you import, the rebate type and rebate sub type are included on new pricing records if the values are included in the code element of the productGroup class.
