Entering an order-as-needed product

Order-as-needed (OAN) products are not stocked in your warehouse, but they have complete product records in Product Setup and Product Warehouse Product Setup. They might have been stocked previously, but because of low usage levels, you discontinued them from stock but still offer them for sale. Use these instructions to add an OAN product to an order.

  1. Select Sales > Entry > Order.
  2. Add or maintain an order.
  3. In Advanced Line Entry mode, specify the OAN product in the Product field.

    The line type automatically changes to Special.

  4. Specify the quantity, and specify other information about the line item.
  5. Click Add to add the line to the order.
  6. Finish the order.
