Recording lot numbers

A Product Extended Lot Number Setup record must exist before you can allocate lot numbers to an order. To assign a lot number to a product, the product must be a FIFO product or it must be set up as a lot product in Product Warehouse Product Setup.

Use these instructions to create a lot record:

  1. Select Product > Setup > Extended Lot Number.
  2. Click New.
  3. Specify the product number for which you are creating a lot number.
  4. Specify the warehouse where the product is located.
  5. Specify the lot number.
  6. Click Save.
  7. Specify this information:
    Opened
Specify the date the lot quantities are available for sale.

Specify an expiration date for products that have a limited shelf life.
    Bin Location #1 and #2
