Setting up for tiers and preferences usage and replenishment

To enable this feature, assign a numeric priority to a Product Preference in SA Table Code Value Setup, select the Allow Usage Move option in Product Warehouse Description Setup, and clear the Exclude Usage Move option in Product Warehouse Product Setup. Ensure that the numeric priority is associated with only one product preference in a tier group. For example, for the Tier, Best: drill bit, in Tier group 09876, only product A is assigned the preference numeric priority of 1.

  1. Select System Administrator > Setup > Table Code Value.
  2. Select Product Preference.

These steps assume you have previously set up the tier, tier group, and preference.

  3. In the grid, select the highest preferred product you want to apply usage and replenishment to.
  4. Click Edit.
  5. Click Additional Information.
  6. In the Product Preferences Group window, specify the number 1.
  7. Click OK.
  8. Click Save.
  9. Select Product > Setup > Warehouse Descriptions.
  10. Select a warehouse and drill down to the warehouse record.
  11. In the Extended window, in the Authorized Replenishment Path section, set the Allow Usage Move value to Yes.

If this value is set to No, usage is not calculated and replenishment is not performed for any product in that warehouse.

  12. Click Save.
  13. Select Product > Setup > Warehouse Product.
  14. Select a product and drill down to display the product record.
  15. In the Ordering view, in the Usage section, clear the Exclude Usage Move option.

If this option is selected, the usage is not calculated and replenishment is not performed for this product.

  16. Click Save.
