Creating a forecast

Use this procedure to create a forecast for a customer, customer ship to address, or a ship to group. You can create a new forecast by copying an existing forecast. After you create a forecast, you can add products to it.

  1. Select Product > Setup > Customer Reservation/Forecast.
  2. In the Setup Type field, select Forecast.
  3. Click New.

    To create a new forecast by copying an existing forecast, you can select it, click Copy, and make your changes for the new forecast.

  4. Specify a warehouse.
  5. If the forecast is for a specific customer and ship to address or ship to group, specify those.
  6. Specify a start and end date for the forecast.
  7. In the Estimated Usage Rate Percent field, specify the percentage of the forecast you expect the customer to purchase.
  8. In the Expired Forecast Usage field, specify how actual usage for the forecast is to be accounted. Select Remove to subtract the actual usage from the normal usage. Select Normal to include actual usage in the normal usage.
  9. Save the forecast.
