Excel spreadsheet formatting for a manual product list

You can create a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet that lists products to include on a manual product list, and then import the spreadsheet in the Product Administration Exception Center. These setups are required before you can import:

  • The products included on the spreadsheet must have a Product Setup and Product Warehouse Product Setup record.
  • You must have the security required to perform the import. Select Allow Both Manual List and Excel in the Manual Product List option in SA Operator Setup.
  • Before importing, format the spreadsheet exactly as described.

Formatting

The spreadsheet must contain a Warehouse column and a Product column, with the column labels described in a header row. The order of the columns does not matter. Both the warehouse and product values are required for all lines. When you import the spreadsheet in the Product Administration Exception Center, you can define a maximum number of lines, or rows, in the spreadsheet.

Import errors include invalid and missing values. If a line has an error, OK To Process is not selected. To correct an error, click the drill down icon for the line, or correct the error on the spreadsheet and import the spreadsheet again.
