Setting up an alternative or reference product cross-reference record

  1. Select Product > Setup > Extended Product Cross Reference.
  2. Click New.
  3. Specify the Type of reference you want to create.
  4. Specify the Product and the Reference Product.
  5. Complete the remaining fields.
  6. Click Save.
  7. If the Confirm Creating window is displayed, select the cross-reference records to create for the reference product based on the existing cross-references for the product.

    If you create an opposite record for substitute, and a value is specified in the Sell Substitute First field on the original record, the value for this setting on the opposite record is blank.
