Performing a rule matching with CR Reconciliation Center

Perform these steps only if you use CR Reconciliation Center functionality to import, match, and reconcile bank statements. The instructions for performing a rule matching assume you have already created matching rules and have imported a bank statement.

  1. Select Check Reconciliation > Entry > Reconciliation Center.
  2. In the Bank Reconciliations grid, select a bank record.
  3. Click Rule Matching.
  4. In the Printer Settings page, specify a destination for the report, and click OK.
When you click the OK button, the CR Reconciliation Rule Matching Report runs. The bank statement is processed by the report based on the rules that you have set up for this bank. Depending upon the volume of transactions, this process may take a few minutes.
  5. When the report has finished, in the Bank Reconciliations grid, select the bank record and click the drill down arrow.
  6. In the Reconciliation Detail page, review the static information. You can use this information as you reconcile the bank statement.
  7. In the Bank Records grid, review and determine which records are marked in the Matched column. The matched records are cleared.
  8. Next, reconcile the remaining records on the bank statement.
