Manually prepaying a vendor
You can create a miscellaneous credit to prepay a vendor without applying the payment to an invoice.
- Select Vendor > Entry > Invoice Center.
 - Specify the group name, and then click New. The Invoice grid refreshes automatically, showing all invoices for the selected group. You are in add mode.
 - 
            Specify this information: 
            
- Vendor #: Specify the vendor's number.
 - Transaction Type: Specify Man Payment.
 - Process Type: Specify Expense.
 - Amount: Specify the amount of the invoice.
 - Invoice Date: Specify the date of the invoice.
 
 - 
            Optionally, select these options:
            
- Immediate Pay: Select this option to apply this miscellaneous credit immediately.
 - Dispute: Select this option to put this miscellaneous credit in a disputed status.
 - Suspend: Select this option to suspend this miscellaneous credit. When you suspend a transaction, it is not updated to General Ledger when Final Update is processed.
 
 - Click Save.
 - Click Additional Information, and then click Edit.
 - 
            Specify this information in the Manual Check section: 
            
- Bank #: Specify the bank the check is written against.
 - Check: Specify the check number.
 - Discount: Specify the discount, if applicable.
 
 - Optionally, change the information in the Manual Address section.
 - Click Save.
 - To apply the miscellaneous credit against the vendor's account, update the transactions that were entered for the group.
