Copying a warehouse product record

Use the Copy function in Product Warehouse Product Setup to quickly copy a product in one warehouse to one or more additional warehouses.

When you use Product Warehouse Product Setup-Copy, you can designate the ARP warehouse for the new warehouse product record(s) or leave the ARP Warehouse field blank to use the ARP information from the "copy from" Product Warehouse Description Setup record.

These additional conditions are applied:

If the ARP for the "copy from" warehouse is Vendor, the information from the associated Product Line Setup record is used when creating the new warehouse product records.
If a Product Line Setup record is not assigned to the Product Warehouse Description Setup record, it is created automatically if you have security to add Product Line Setup records.
If the Do Not Create Warehouse Record if Product Line Not Setup option is selected, a new Product Warehouse Product Setup record is not created if the product line is not set up. Additionally, a new Product Line Setup record is not created automatically during the copy function. It must be created manually in Product Line Setup before the Product Warehouse Product Setup record can be copied.

You can also specify to Use ICSL Defaults when copying Product Warehouse Product Setup records. Selecting this option in the Copy window to override the ordering defaults from the original Product Warehouse Product Setup record with the Product Line Setup-Ordering defaults from the "to" warehouse if a record exists.

ARP information
season information
tax defaults

All Product Warehouse Description Setup records for the signed-in company are displayed in the grid. Select one or multiple warehouse records to copy the warehouse product to, then click OK.

We recommend you select Message list of already existing records and errors on the Copy window. Any errors encountered during the copy process are displayed. Any pre-existing Product Warehouse Product Setup records are also listed.
