Selling optional products from a list

Optional products are complementary items that are sold with another product. For example, if you sell a hose, an optional product might be a fitting for the hose. Optional items are set up in Product Extended Product Cross Reference Setup. Use these instructions to sell optional products from a list.

  1. Select Sales > Entry > Order.
  2. Create or maintain an order, and then click Next.
  3. In Advanced Line Entry mode, specify the product and quantity.
  4. Click Add.
  5. On the Optional Products page:
    1. Select the optional product to add to the order.
    2. Specify the quantity and unit.
    3. Clear the Charge option if there should be no charge to the customer for the optional product.
    4. Click Submit.
  6. Finish the order.
