SA Authorization Point Setup overview

System Administrator > Setup > Authorization Point

Function acronym: SASSA

Use this function to set up authorization points.

Authorization points are pre-defined, system-enabled fields, windows, and functions that validate an operator's authorization when that operator performs certain actions.

Authorization points are hard-coded into the system. You can add new authorization points to the list, but you must also implement a corresponding custom code modification to make them operational.

Depending on your security, these definitions can be modified, but modifications may be overwritten when software is updated.

If a record is missing for an authorization point, a message is displayed indicating that the record is missing and to notify the system administrator. The system administrator or operator with correct security can add the record in SA Authorization Point Setup using the values on the Authorization Required window.

Note:  Only the system administrator should have access to this function. Any operator with Grant Authority for a particular function can also assign authorization point security to other operators for that function.
