SA Index Rebuild Report overview

System Administrator > Reports > SA Reports > SARTE

Function acronym: SARTE

Use this report to populate the Elasticsearch index database with data from the main transaction database. The Elasticsearch index database is used to conduct searches in Distribution SX.e.

When you perform a normal rebuild, all indexes data is rebuilt and the timestamp fields are reinitialized. Existing rowpointers are preserved.

If you built the Elasticsearch index database for version 11.x or later, a rebuild is not required for subsequent upgrades. The timestamp fields are initialized by database triggers.

Note: The index build process can be time-consuming. If your main transaction database is large, an index build could take several hours on a slower system.

When you specify All for the Table option, a separate report is generated for each table to build. The individual reports are processed by Report Scheduler. Your report queue settings are used. The reports that are generated if you select All are the same as the reports that are generated if you run the report for each table individually. Each auto-generated, one-time report uses the template options and displays the name of the table being built. For file output, note that the previous output file is overwritten.

For each processed table, report output includes the processing times and number of records sent to Elasticsearch. For example:

13:08:04 Processing Index Rebuild: ICSW
13:08:26 Done: ICSW; Records read: 52228
