Product Warehouse Product Setup - New overview

You must complete these setups before entering warehouse product information:

• Product Warehouse Description Setup
• Product Setup
• Product Line Setup
• Vendor Setup

You must have set up these values before entering warehouse product information:

• ARP Warehouse in Product Warehouse Description Setup.
• Family Group in SA Table Code Value Setup.

You are creating new records in this function. Typically, you can access the Additional section cost fields and specify a GL/SM cost when setting up a new product if one of these conditions is met:

• The product is not a labor product.
• The product has no quantity.
• The product has no open transactions.

Be aware that settings for administration functions may affect whether the Additional section cost fields are available or enterable on the New page:

• SA Operator Setup-Controls

  • Allow User to View Costs: If you do not allow an operator to view costs, cost fields are not displayed in setups. If No is selected, that operator would not have access to the cost fields in Product Warehouse Description Setup-New.
