Value Add late charges

In Value Add, you can track unexpected charges incurred as part of the fabrication process but not received until the Value Add order has been closed and product delivered against the fabrication process. Tracking these charges against the fabrication process provides actual margins and accurate cost information that helps you to more accurately price the product in the future.

In VA Late Charge Entry, you can enter late charges against a closed Value Add order. Charges incurred after a Value Add order is closed do not effect the Product Warehouse Product Setup record’s average cost for the Value Add product. Instead, these charges are applied to a new Late Charge total stored with the Value Add order.

In VA Order Inquiry, you can view late charges that are entered in VA Late Charge Entry.

Note:  Operator security in SA Operator Setup-Function Security must be enabled for VA Late Charge Entry, and the VA Order Inquiry Late Charge sub-function for those operators who should have access.
