Setting up order point adjuster parameters

Use these instructions to set up parameters that automatically adjust a product’s order point when it meets certain criteria. There are three order point adjusters: threshold minimum, average sales quantity (ASQ), and Five High. The adjustment to order point occurs when the Product Administration Month End Processing Report is run. When an adjuster is applied, the exception that is created can be viewed in the Product Administration Exception Processing Center.

  1. Select Product > Setup > Warehouse Product.
  2. Locate a product record, select the Ordering view, and click Edit.
  3. In the Order Point Adjusters section, specify a Threshold Minimum Order Point.
  4. Optionally, specify a Threshold Reference to create a description that is displayed in the Product Administration Exception Processing Center with the inventory value change exception.
  5. Optionally, specify a minimum threshold expiration date.
  6. Select the Avg Sales Quantity option.
  7. Select the Use Max $ option and then specify a Maximum $ Difference that should be used when adjusting inventory values based on the ASQ order point calculation. You can also set this up in Product Replenishment Setup-Adjusters.
  8. Select the Five High option.
  9. Select the Use Max $ option and specify the Maximum $ Difference that should be used when adjusting inventory values based on the Five High order point adjustment calculation.
  10. Click Save.
  11. Select Product > Setup > Replenishment. If you have not set up your company record, refer to the instructions for Setting Up Optional Replenishment Parameters.
  12. Select the company record.
  13. On the Adjusters view, click Edit.
  14. Specify the parameters in the Average Sales Quantity (ASQ) and Five-High Sales (5-HI) sections and click Save.
  15. On the Exceptions view, click Edit.
  16. In the Inventory Value section , select Yes to create exceptions due to ASQ, Five-high and Threshold modifiers. Click Save.
  17. At the end of the month, run the Product Administration Month End Processing Report and update your ordering controls.
