Product Warehouse Product Setup - Warehouse Logistics field descriptions

Fields are presented in alphabetical order within each section.

Quantities

Case Quantity

A unit of measure that represents the most common quantity-oriented picking and receiving unit. During receiving, the receiving process assumes that receiving is performed by case and this value defaults as the case quantity (can be overridden).

Inner Pack

A unit of measure that contains the Product Setup stocking units. TWL deals in units of the warehouse, rather than sales units. The stocking unit in system should be the smallest unit of this item (each). The recommended entry is 1.

Pallet Quantity

The number of Product Setup stocking units that can fit on a pallet. This value is used by TWL to limit the number of items that can be put on a pallet.

Locations

Counter Bin

In TWL, counter sale pick tickets are generated to move product to the counter area. If an item has a special storage location in the counter area in addition to its primary storage area in the warehouse, this location can be designated as the counter location. This location prints on the pick ticket in addition to two Warehouse Products Setup bin locations.

Kit Build Department

TWL uses departments in the assembly process for prebuilt kits. If this item is a prebuilt kit, you will need to designate a kit department that has been set up in TWL. If you attempt to download from Distribution SX.e to TWL and have not created department records, the download is rejected.

Warehouse Zone

The default zone for the item and is validated with the TWL Warehouse Zone Master records,  which also determines if receipts can be put away in this location. You can change this field manually or dynamically from tasks completed on the RF.
