Product Setup - Cores & Configurator field descriptions

Fields are presented in alphabetical order within each section.

Core Product

Dirty Core Product

If you chose Dirty Core from the Product Type field, type a dirty core product number in this field.

When you create a new remanufactured core product record, this product number defaults from SA Administration-Administrator Options-Products-Cores. The system validates the product number, and you must correct any invalid entries before you exit the window.

Implied Core Product

If you chose Implied Core from the Product Type field, type an implied core charge number in this field. The implied core charge record must have a status of Labor in Warehouse Products Setup-General, so the quantity is not tracked by the system.

When you create a new remanufactured core product record, this product number defaults from SA Administration-Administrator Options-Products-Cores. The system validates the product number, and you must correct any invalid entries before you exit the window.

Implied Quantity

Identifies the ratio between the quantity of implied core product to the corresponding quantity of the associated remanufactured core product. When you enter the associated remanufactured core product on a document (order, purchase order, and so on), the quantities for the implied core product is determined by the value in this field times the corresponding quantity for the remanufactured core product. This field initially defaults to "1," which indicates a one-to-one relationship between the quantities. You cannot change this field if there are active, unexpired core balances for the remanufactured item.

Grace Periods

Customer

The number of days or months until a core return from a customer expires. This is used as a default for the customer core return expiration date if the search hierarchy on the Product Customer Grace Period Setup fails to identify a different customer core return expiration date.

Vendor

The number of days or months until a core return to the vendor expires.

Kits

Configure Kit

Select this option if you are setting up a product for integration with Infor CPQ. These types of products are integrated with CPQ:

  • Build-on-demand (BOD) kit parent item
  • Non-kit item with the VA Assembly Type field set to CPQ Configurator
Rule Set Settings

In the Settings section, specify the related product ruleset. Rulesets are predefined, behind-the-scenes product models that control the display of information in CPQ and are developed to interact with Distribution SX.e build-on-demand kit products and parameters.

Optional AO Overrides

Application Name

In the Optional AO Overrides section, you can optionally override the AO setting, making the Application Name field available at the product level and point to a unique (CPQ) database.

Namespace

In the Optional AO Overrides section, you can optionally override the AO setting, making the Namespace field available at the product level and point to a unique CPQ database.
