Creating a warehouse transfer

Create a warehouse transfer to transfer inventory from one warehouse to another.

If the transfer contains these controlled products, you can specify the control number when you create or ship the transfer.

  • A lot-controlled product
  • A serial-controlled product that was assigned a serial number at receiving

You can also assign serial numbers if these conditions are met:

  • The product is a serial-controlled product that is assigned a serial number at sales.
  • Require Serials on non-Direct WTs in SA Administrator Options is selected.

In Storeroom-managed warehouses, you can only specify a lot- and serial-controlled product on a warehouse transfer if these conditions are met:

  • The ship from warehouse is not Storeroom-managed
  • The same product in the Storeroom-managed ship to warehouse is not a controlled product

Use these instructions to create a warehouse transfer in the Advanced Line Entry mode.

  1. Select Transfer > Entry > Transfer.
  2. Specify the Ship From Warehouse and the Ship To Warehouse.
  3. Complete the remaining fields as required, and then click Next.
  4. If the Advanced Line Entry page is not displayed, click Advanced Line Entry.
  5. Specify the product, quantity, and line type. Verify the unit.
If the product is a remanufactured core product, a line for the implied core charge is automatically added to the transfer. The quantity and unit for implied core is the same as the remanufactured core product.

    To specify serial numbers:

    2. Select the serial numbers. Use one of these methods:
