Adding a kit group to a Value Add order

Use these steps to add a kit group to a VA order. You can specify kit groups in VA Order Entry and VA Product Default Setup for Inventory Component (IN) and Inventory In (II) sections.

  1. Access Kit Production > Setup > Group and set up kit groups to be used in Value Add.
  2. Access Value Add > Entry > Order.
  3. Click New.
  4. On the VA Order Entry - Add New Order window, specify the appropriate information and click Save.
  5. Access the Sections view.
  6. Add a section.
  7. Select the section and access the Line Items view.
  8. Click Add.
  9. On the Add VA Line window, select the Group option.
  10. In the Group Name field, specify the kit group name.
  11. Verify the Qty Needed and Qty Based on Total fields; adjust the quantities, if needed.
  12. Add the group. A line is created for each product in the group. If modifications must be made, they can be made to the individual lines in the Line Items view.
