Editing data for product import

Use PI Entry Edit Product to edit and update product import data to prepare the data for updating to the Product entity files. This update function modifies product records, such as Product Setup. The update should be run only by authorized operators.

  1. Select Product Import > Entry > Edit Product Update.
  2. Use Search to locate the appropriate product. You can specify an Import Type and an Update #. You can also expand Additional Selection Criteria and specify values in these fields.
  3. Click Search. Products meeting your criteria display in the grid.
  4. Optionally, from the toolbar:
    1. Select a product from the grid, and click Delete.
    2. Select a product from the grid, and click Error and Hold Codes.
    3. Click Update Status codes to edit the Status Code and several related fields.
  5. Optionally, in the grid you can select a product and drill down to display the Full Product window, where you can edit various fields.

    Use the drop-down list to modify the Status Code. Click Product Category to activate the lookup feature. Or, click New Base to modify the base price.

Any changes you make in PI Entry Edit Product Update File are applied when you run PI Entry Update Products. Lines that are made inactive, either updated or deleted, are no longer displayed in PI Entry Edit Product Update File. When all line items are inactive, the file is inactive and cannot be edited in PI Entry Edit Product Update File.
